A 400 Level Nursing Student of the Prestigious University of Calabar, Catherine Bebia Banku has emerged Winner of the maiden edition of Miss Southern Nigeria beauty pageant 2020/2021 held recently in Calabar, the Cross River State capital organized by Coneri Magazine in collaboration with Sparkling FM and Southern Nigeria People's Forum. Miss Southern Nigeria MSN was born with the vision of raising an ambassador that will advocate for the unity of the Various states and ethnic groups of southern Nigeria as well as push for her development and growth.  


Queen Bebia Catherine Banku who hails from Boki local Government Area of Cross River State pulled the highest votes out of 30  Contestants to win the exalted crown. Three runner ups were declared Face of South East Nigeria, Face of South South Nigeria and Face of South West Nigeria. 

The elegant Model who is the last born of  a family of five(5) and did her elementary education at Federal College of education  staff school obudu and secondary education at Federal government college vandeikya, Benue state, and currently studying Nursing in the university of Calabar, revealed that her projects in line with the vision of Southern Nigeria People's Forum is to unite the people of Southern Nigeria as well as push for the development and growth of the region. The queen of Southern Nigeria who said she will partner with major stakeholders of the region to achieve this goal maintained that development and growth can only be possible in an atmosphere of peace, love and unity. She therefore called on leaders and people of the Various states and ethnic groups in the region to support the vision for greater prosperity.

      

The queen who said she loves of playing a lot, singing, dancing and traveling even though she has not had the opportunity to explore, said winning the crown will now afford her that the opportunity of achieving her dreams. 

"I love playing a lot. I also love singing, dancing and traveling even though I have not had the opportunity to explore. Lol! But amidst all these things, I have introvert traits too. I enjoy surrounding myself with loved ones and doing things that make me happy."


Talking about her passion for modeling, the eloquent beauty queen said that while  growing up, her dream was to become a super model. She said winning the crown was a dream was a dream come true. 

"modelling was was something I have passion for and I’m happy somehow I have the opportunity to begin living my dream. I must specially thank Coneri Magazine and Sparkling FM in collaboration with  Southern Nigeria people's forum for granting me this privilege"

She concluded by saying her office in collaboration with the organizers of the event will be embarking on Southern unity tour very soon to sensitise the people on the need to embrace the vision of a United southern Nigeria

MEMBERSHIP
opened to all people of Southern Nigeria extraction, home and abroad. Our belief is that once we can locate at least three Southern Nigerians in a state or country, we recommend SNPF chapters to be opened there.
